​Orlen Upstream sp. z o.o. has been awarded the following certificates: ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System and ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management System in "Management of Search and Extraction Operations". These certificates are the final reward for implementing a complex of solutions regarding management of search and extraction operations as well as the certification process which got under way in August last year.


- The key objective of operating within the Quality Management System implemented on the basis of the ISO 9001:2008 international standard is to guarantee that our operations connected with managing hydrocarbon search and extraction will meet all the requirements imposed on us by our shareholders and business partners – sums up Wiesław Prugar, the President of the Management Board of Orlen Upstream sp. z o.o. - I believe that implementing this system, we have created a firm basis for continuous organisational and business growth, which in turn will contribute to satisfying the expectations of PKN ORLEN S.A. regarding the statutory activities of our company - adds Wiesław Prugar.

Orlen Upstream is an ecologically aware Company. The implementation and functioning of the ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management System facilitate identification of relations between the Company's operations and natural environment, which are of key importance in hydrocarbon search and extraction operations. Acting on the basis of appropriate principles, the Company will be able to use natural resources in a responsible manner. It will require a similar approach from its business partners. Implementing the system, the Company's authorities confirmed their commitment to systemic management of the Company's impact on natural environment without any detriment to its core activity for which it was set up.

Being awarded the ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004 certificates does not preclude further efforts aimed at improving the quality of implemented projects or mitigating the Company's negative impact on the environment.
