Poland Should Invest in the Shale Gas Exploration and Exploitation

 

Poland should invest in the shale gas exploration and exploitation – that is the conclusion of the social opinion polls. The polls prepared upon the request of the Globalization Institute, and carried out by OBOP show that the Poles support the exploration of the shale gas but they want the government to have control over the deposits. As much as 82% of the respondents decided that the state should invest in the extraction of this resource, and only 4% of the respondents were against it. The vast majority, 80% of the individuals participating in the poll were in favour of the development of own technologies of the shale gas extraction and production and almost three quarters of the respondents would want the exploitation of the resources in Poland to be the domain of Polish entities.
