The 2nd Forbes Energy Executive Congress concerning energy security.
During the meeting, invited guests attempted to diagnose the factors that influence our country’s energy security level. The widely commented topics included: the situation of the liquid fuel market, the future of Polish nuclear energy industry and the perspectives for more diverse natural gas supplies. The issues of renewable energy sources have also been discussed, as well as the cost efficiency of shale gas development in Poland.
The thorough analysis of the Forbes editorial staff was supported by renown experts in industry, science, business and finances. They also included the President of ORLEN Upstream, Mr Wieslaw Prugar. He participated in Panel III concerning the perspectives and cost effectiveness of shale gas market development in Poland.
Other panellists included: Henryk Jacek Jezierski, undersecretary of state at the Ministry of Environment and Chief National Geologist; Marek Kijowski, a partner at Mamiński and Partners law firm; dr. hab. Jerzy Nawrocki, the president of the Polish Geological Institute, and Marek Woszczyk, acting president of the Energy Regulatory Office.

The culmination point of the Congress was the FORBES COUCH – an interview by the editor of Forbes with Aleksander Grad – the Minister of Treasury.
